Teaching religion in a traditional classroom setting is just one part of the strong foundation of faith built at SJCA. Each school day begins and ends with prayers. Students are actively engaged with the Catholic religion to enrich their lives with faith and the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Our school charism focuses on teaching the whole child and recognizing that
through the gifts of the Holy Spirit we are called to live as disciples of Jesus. Teachers and staff maintain a deep commitment to reveal Christ's love and the Gospel values daily to students.
SJCA offers a number of extra-curricular activities that continue our student's spiritual growth and formation. School liturgies are planned by teachers and students. Students attend Mass every week. Our school Mass is frequently attended by family members and parishioners who appreciate joining the school community in praising God.
Students are prepared for First Penance and First Holy Communion as well as for the Sacrament of Confirmation. During Advent and Lent, students in Grades 3-8 are provided the opportunity to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
