Saint Joseph School is a registered 501(3)(c) charity. All donations to the school are fully tax deductible.
Home and School Association
The Home and School Association consists of all current parents of the school. A strong Home and School Association is an essential part of any successful Catholic School. The Association provides a sense of community for parents, promotes communication between parents and the school, and supports the school through fund raising events. Association activities are an excellent way to meet other parents, to learn about the school and to have fun while participating in activities that support the school financially.
The Advisory Board of the Home and School Association is elected at the Annual Meeting in May. All parents are eligible to run for an officer position or member of the Board. There are monthly Advisory Committee meetings that are open to anyone interested in attending as well as four Home and School General Meetings held throughout the school year.
The Home and School Association must raise a stipend each year to support the school budget. It is imperative that all parents get involved in the fundraising efforts. We met and exceeded this goal in the past and we know we can do it again with everyone's help. Please watch for information about the Home and School activities in the Thursday Notice.

How to get started and open a SCRIP account:

. Now you are on the join a non-profit screen

. Click on HOME

. Enter required data and follow steps to completion
. At this point you are not ready to order. Great Lakes Scrip will electronically transfer into your account two (2) transactions amounting to pennies each. This will take approximately 2 business days. Once you see the amounts that were transferred into your account write them down. Go back into shopwithscrip.com and enter into your account main screen. In the top part of the screen you will see "verify presto pay". Click on Verify Presto Pay. Enter in the amounts that were transferred into your account. Finish the screen instructions.
. Once you have completed above you are ready to start to order. How do you know you have completed Presto Pay correctly? When you order and you go to pay for your order you will see a pay with PRESTO PAY as an option. If you do not see PRESTO PAY as a payment option call a SJS coordinator.
Also note you can chose to open PRESTO PAY from your main checking account or you can open a separate checking account to keep SCRIP/PRESTO PAY transactions limited to a sole isolated account.

Employer Matching Contributions
Many companies have come to recognize the value of educational excellence and have agreed to multiply donations made to the school by their employees. Please ask your employer if they have such a program and, if so, obtain the proper forms from your human resource department and forward the information to St. Joseph School. The donor receives credit for both the original gift and the amount of the match.
