Over the Counter Medications
The school nurse has very basic medications in her office for fevers and colds. If your child needs other over the counter or prescription medications during the school day, they should be brought to the school by an adult and placed on the nurses desk. All medications should be in their original packaging with the child's name printed on the outside. A permission slip must be completed before the nurse can administer any new medications. Over the counter medication can be authorized by the parent. Prescription medications must be authorized by the child's physician. A copy of the Over the Counter Medication Permission form is available on this web site. The permission form for prescription medications is available in the school nurses office.
