St. Joseph School Cheerleaders help to support our varsity basketball teams by cheering at home games. Cheerleading is open to both girls and boys in grades 1-8. Practice is held immediately after school every Monday from October through April. We have an annual ice cream social with of all of the cheerleading teams in the Greater Danbury Parochial League. The highlight of our season is an exposition at Immaculate High School during the tournament playoffs. Call outs for the next season are held in April. This past summer we offered two summer camps where the SJS cheerleaders learned some new cheers and perfected old ones. Currently, our cheerleading squad is 24 cheerleaders strong!

Our practices will be on Monday's after school
JV will start on October 5th
Varsity will start on October 19th
JV schedule will be as follows.
3:10 - 3:25 snack and bathroom break
3:25 - 3:30 cheer vow and stretching
3:30 - 4:00 general practice and ½ time routine
4:00 sharp is pick up
(varsity will still be practicing so please be prompt)
